Jennifer Robinson is Associate Professor of Curriculum and Teaching and Executive Director of the Center of Pedagogy, the institutional structure at Montclair State University with responsibility for coordinating all aspects of initial teacher preparation and the simultaneous renewal of teacher education. She has been principal investigator and director of over 25 grant-funded projects to improve school-university partnerships and to recruit and retain new teachers for urban schools. She is the founding director of the Teacher Education Advocacy Center (TEAC) at Montclair State to which aims to increase the recruitment and retention of students from underrepresented groups into teaching, has authored several articles, and made numerous professional presentations about her work in this area as well as on the subject of parental involvement.
Previously, Ms. Robinson was Assistant Director of the Childhood Education Program at Teachers College, Columbia University. She is recipient of many awards and is a national AED Scholar with the Goodlad Institute for Educational Renewal for her continuing contributions to the Agenda for Education in a Democracy.
